Research Projects

  The PhD Program in Austronesian Studies at National Taitung University focuses on interdisciplinary and comparative research on Austronesian societies. Ongoing research emphasizes anthropological theory, ethnographic methods, and long-term fieldwork, with particular attention to Taiwan, Island Southeast Asia, and Oceania. 
 

  Building on its ongoing research strengths, the program develops future-oriented research agendas that support doctoral dissertations and international collaboration, responding to global academic debates and regional challenges.
