Liyu Mountain is a hill located in the center of Taitung City, with an elevation of approximately 75 meters. It owns a superior natural environment and expansive views; on clear days, visitors can even see Green Island and Orchid Island in the distance. Serving as a recreational green space for local residents, the mountain offers a splendid natural landscape at both sunrise and sunset, making it an good spot for relaxation and enjoying the beauty of nature. Furthermore, it features a 1.7-kilometer trail that allows visitors to stroll while enjoying scenic views from various perspectives. Along the trail, several observation platforms—such as Lishou (Carp Head), Beiling (Back Ridge), and Liwei (Carp Tail)—offer different vantage points, providing visitors with panoramic views of Taitung City.
